• Any applicant who wishes to avail Financial Assistance Scheme under Financial Assistance to Poor Widows for Marriage of their Daughters and Orphan Girls has to register herself on e-district portal of GNCTD.
• Log on https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/
• Under Citizen Corner click on New User
• Click on select the document – Aadhar or Voter ID
• Enter your Aadhar Card Number/Voter ID Card Number
• Type the Captcha in the box shown
Citizen Registration Form will Open
• Fill up all fields including details of Present Residential Address
• Enter Captcha, Click on Continue.
• Login ID and Password will be received on given mobile number/e-mail address.
• Now Registration on e-district portal is complete
Registration for Financial Assistance Services
• Click on Registered User Login
• Enter given login ID and Password
• Enter Captcha and Click on Login
• Go to Main Page (Main Page) will open click on apply online.
• Drop Box apply for services will open – click on the link.
• List of Departments providing online services shall open –
Select on Department of Women & Child Development.
• Three Financial Assistance Schemes will be shown. Choose the relevant scheme
and Click on Apply.
• Check the BASIC/PERSONAL DETAILS FORM and click on Continue.
• Form will open fill up all required fields & uploads all required documents as per requirement of scheme selected.
• Then click next and upload photograph
• Then click on finish.
• One OTP will be received on registered mobile number.
• Enter OTP and Submit.
• Acknowledgement of successful submission shall be generated.

Yes the Girls born on or after 1st January, 2008 but girls born before this date can also avail this scheme at the time of taking admission in the classes mentioned below and after passing out class X.
Girl should have been born on or after 1st January, 2008. Remittance at the time of birth Rs. 10,000/- (Rs.11,000/- if born in a hospital or a maternity home),
Rs.5000/- every time on taking admission in class I, VI, IX, XII. and Rs.5000/- at the time of passing class X.
Can apply separately at the time of getting admission in any of the above classes.
However income of parents, combined, should be less then Rs. One Lakh per annum.

Annual income of applicant should be less than Rs 1,00,000/per yearfrom all sources (including rent, interest/ dividends on savings & investments, earnings from farm, property sale proceeds etc.) of the applicant.
Yes, Aadhaar number is mandatory for filling up the application- without Aadhaar number, application portal will not work.
Yes. If a girl gets promoted or admitted in any of the above mentioned classes, she can apply for the other benefit under.

Yes. But the school should be recognized by Govt./MCD/NDMC or Govt. recognized schools in Delhi and annual income of their parents should be less then Rupees One Lakh per annum.
Only those girls, whose application has been made on the basis of birth after 1st January2008 and renewed every time while taking admission in class I,VI,IX,XII and at the time of passing class X, shall get an amount of Rs. One Lakh approximately. All other girls shall get the amount with interest of the sum deposited in their account by the Delhi Government.
No, a self declaration by the applicant is required as per format. (Format given on the portal can be used)
1. Widow as applicant want to apply for marriage of her girl under the scheme, then Aadhaar card of widow as applicant is mandatory and Aadhaar card of girl whose marriage is being performed is optional.
2. Orphan Girl as applicant want to apply for her marriage under the scheme then Aadhaar card of orphan girl as applicant is mandatory.

As per the notification no. F.08(1)/FAS/GCPR/DSW/06-07/2056-70 Dated 01/02/2008 only girls born in Delhi can avail benefit of this scheme, provided that they have a birth certificate issued by the Registrar (Birth & Death) of Delhi.
• In case ‘No Documentary Evidence’ is available with the applicant with regard to proof
of residence, the following shall be admissible;
1. applicant may produce any of the two witnesses from the following list, in front of the District, WCD Officer/any official deputed by the DWCDO for the said purpose.
a. President or General Secretary of RWA of the locality
b. Registered shopkeepers/Registered doctors working in the locality (with their registration numbers)
c. Two neighbors of the applicant with their contact details.
d. Registered women SHGs’/ Mahila Mandals’ President or General Secretary/authorized signatory
e. ICDS Supervisors/ ASHA workers of the area
f. Gazetted Officer of the Delhi Govt /Central.
g. In case the applicants are employed in households/shops etc a letter from the employer about the years the applicant has been working with them.
2. Along with the witness’s statement, the relevant document for the photo identity proof, residence and length of stay shall also have to be appended with the application clearly showing that the witnesses themselves have been around in the same area for the number of years they claim to have known the applicant. Also, the witness will need to furnish their contact details as well. In doubtful cases, DWCDO can get a home visit done of these witnesses as well as the applicant to verify their claim.

No, Only girls studying in a Delhi Government Schools/ recognized schools /MCD schools/ NDMC school/ Cantonment Board schools can avail benefit under this scheme.
YES, the District Officer, WCD will verify the documents and if required home visit will be done before sanction of assistance or beneficiary may be called for document verification in District Office (if needed).
